Throwback
Last night we saw "Hot Tub Time Machine". Tonight, I felt like I went back in time when I saw this display at the grocery store. Seeing this took me back to the summers when I would ride with Dad on his Pepsi route delivering pop to the smaller communities all around us. Good memories. This is what the cases looked like back then. So clean. So simple. So nice to see you again, old Pepsi logo. Now, when are you bringing back the glass bottles?

Sweet Sixteen
Celebrating our anniversary with a little Italian food, white zinfandel wine, and Hot Tub Time Machine. What a fun night! We tried really hard not to talk about the kids. That's a tough gig when they consume most of your time and energy. It was nice to focus on us for a few hours.

Gone Batty
Andrew's team had their first scrimmage tonight. On top of that, it was their first practice, too. It was a rough start, but by the end of the game, things started to click for the boys and they performed pretty well. I'm thinking that we could be something to talk about this season.

E Dubbin' It
What a better way to wind down at the end of the day than with my Entertainment Weekly magazine with a screaming dude shrouded in red on the cover.

Storm's a Brewin'!
The rain and the hail had just moved through, but this was building backwards. We walked at a quicket clip than normal to get home, just in case.

A Dog and His Bone
I was at a meeting for the youth program for the baseball coaches in the league and forgot to grab a photo at 7:15, so you get a picture of Sonny instead. It's probably more interesting anyway. He's a good dog.

Easter Sunday Snooze
I'm stepping away from the 7:15 photo to bring you some of my favorite things about Easter Sunday. A good church service that totally gets it right, finding Easter eggs with the kids, seeing what's in the Easter basket, spending time with family, spending time eating with family, and most importantly, the Easter Sunday snooze, especially one that can be taken outside with a nice breeze. My father-in-law has this down to a science. Even while the rest of us are busy making noise while shooting Easter eggs with BB guns from the back balcony, the F.I.L. gets it done. Nice work, John!

Wooly Buggers
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. We're heading over to spend time with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who are the ultimate outdoors type people. When it comes to hunting, fishing, camping, or making a 5 course gourmet meal in the middle of the wilderness, they're the ones you want to talk to. So, we have plans to do some fishing at the pond near their house and we're taking stock of what we have in fishing gear and getting it in working order. Amber's favorite is the Wooly Bugger that Uncle Kurt made for her.

Zzzzzzz
I gotta fess up. This picture was not taken at 7:15PM on April 2. You know why? Because I was sleeping at 7:15PM on April 2. It's not easy to take a picture when you're visiting Dreamland. So, the wife took a shot of my eyes shut on April 3 for the April 2 post.

No Joke!
We have come to the conclusion that A.J. Sports Grill (and The Backalley...both under the same ownership) have the BEST pizza in Wichita. It's our favorite and it'll be a difficult task for anyone to change our mind on that. Many people have other local joints that they swear by, but if we were in a swearin' contest, well...my mother would probably wash my mouth out with soap. My bride and the yungins' enjoyed dinner there tonight. It is so darn good!
